M.ILL.ION Signs With METAL HEAVEN

November 1, 2007

Swedish rockers M.ILL.ION have inked a deal with Germany's Metal Heaven Records. "After fulfilling the deal with the former label the band wanted to move on," the group writes on its web site. "Several albums' worth of new material have been written and some of it has been demoed for presentation. Metal Heaven were among those who immediately showed strong interest and after a couple of weeks of negotiations a new deal is now in place.

M.ILL.ION will hit the studio shortly to record its as-yet-untitled new album for a May 2008 European release.

Commented band founder B.J Laneby: "We are very excited to join the AOR Heaven/Metal Heaven team and we aim to deliver one mother of an album. Can't wait to record, promote and tour this, our sixth record. We've got loads of strong material fighting to deserve a place on this piece and we just can't wait to present it to old and new fans this coming spring!"

Majestic Rock last year released a M.ILL.ION compilation album, entitled "1991-2006 ... The Best So Far", featuring songs from the first five M.ILL.ION albums plus previously unreleased material, including the following: "Evil Inside" (from the "Kingsize" recording sessions),live version of "Candyman" (recorded at the succesful Firefest gig in Bradford, England in 2005) and the video for "Backdoor Queen" (filmed at the launch party show for "Kingsize" in the boys' hometown of Gothenburg in Sweden). The artwork was handled by none other than U.K. artist Hugh Gilmour, who has previously designed album covers for IRON MAIDEN, BLACK SABBATH and MOTÖRHEAD, among others.
